Loyola CS faculty Dr. Ron Greenberg to chair Chicago ACM chapter

Dr. Ronald I. Greenberg, who joined Loyola’s faculty in 1996, has served as the liaison between the Department of Computer Science and the Chicago chapter of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). By securing departmental sponsorship for the monthly Chicago ACM colloquium series and hosting it at Loyola, Dr. Greenberg increased Loyola’s visibility in the professional community and exposed our students and faculty to a broad range of exciting topics.

Dr. Greenberg was recently elected chair of the Chicago ACM chapter for 2012-13. In this role, he will further strengthen the ties between the academic and professional communities and continue his efforts to broaden participation in computing (BPC) in collaboration with the Chicago Public Schools and other key partners.
