Loyola University Chicago: Assistant Professor Position in CS for Fall 2013

Position Title: Assistant Professor of Computer Science

We invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning fall 2013. The department is based at Loyola’s Water Tower Campus in the heart of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile and serves approximately 160 majors, 50 minors, and 110 masters students in the areas of computer science, software engineering, information technology, bioinformatics, and computer forensics. The department comprises eight full-time faculty members and two joint appointees and maintains an active research program with recent funding from NSF, NEH, and other sources. Applicants must clearly demonstrate the potential for excellence in research and teaching and possess a record of (or clear potential for) distinguished scholarship, grant-funded research, and student mentorship. We encourage candidates in all areas of computer science to apply, especially those with strong background in user-centric computing, including but not limited to human-computer interaction, computer graphics, simulation, and visualization. Persons with interdisciplinary backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
